My name is Jenavieve Noir and I was born in Albuquerque New Mexico. I was raised in Farmington New Mexico where I was introduced to metaphysics and alternative healing practices at a very young age. When I was twelve, I had a cousin who had tragically passed away in a horrific car accident. My mother at the time had two little kids to raise, my sister and my brother, and couldn’t take off a summer to go and be with her grieving sister. So, instead she gave me the first level of Reiki and shipped me off to Wisconsin for the summer to take care of her sister. I worked with her sister every morning and every night with Reiki, for the summer. When I returned home, she no longer had a hyper thyroid and her depression had lessened quite a bit. I decided to continue working with the first level of Reiki for two years and when I turned fourteen, I received the second level of Reiki and shortly thereafter, my epilepsy was gone. I have been medication free for seventeen years now. I then became a Reiki master two years later. I found my true purpose when I attended a private massage school in Durango the spring of 2015 an that’s when everything changed. I graduated from The Southwest School of Massage and Esthetics August 9 th of 2015, and formed my business, Obsidian Butterfly Massage. I received my license for massage therapy on my birthday in June of 2016. I started putting in applications in Farmington and one of the chiropractors in the area snatched it up, and brought it home to his wife who was a salon owner. I went in for an interview and she hired me on the spot. I worked in her office for three years until the spring of 2019 when she decided to let the lease go. I took over the lease and as of June 1st, 2019, I am my own entity. I have always been so fascinated and intrigued with the body’s natural knowing and ability to heal. I continue to look for ways to expand my knowledge both with Massage Therapy and Energy Work. In the summer of 2023, I attended a class with Jeanne Ellis and she offered me a once in a lifetime opportunity to join her wonderful organization and become an instructor. I am so very excited to start teaching continued education for this organization. I’m very excited to be able to offer continued education to the people in the Four Corners. I want to educate and inspire people to live their best lives. Finding people that give you pockets of self-empowerment and encourage you, to succeed and be the best version of you, I believe, are some of the keys to manifesting your dream life. When you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.
